Passport and Visa

Overseas travelers wishing to enter the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport. Visitors with confirmed outbound tickets may stay in Korea up to 30 days without visas. Please contact the Korea Embassy locally first. Authors who need an invitation letter to apply for a visa, please download&the invitation letter form&and send the completed letter to the secretariat. Airports and Flights

Incheon Airport (ICN)&is the largest airport in Korea and serves as the main gateway hub for travelers visiting Korea. Korea’s top airport is none other than Incheon International Airport. The airport consists of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Visit&the Incheon Airport website.

Subway

Subway is one of the most convenient ways of public transportation in Korea. Subways are currently available in five major cities, which includes Seoul connecting Gyeonggi-do (including Suwon) and Incheon, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju and Daejeon. In order to travel from Incheon Airport to Seoul, the most popular ways include taking the Airport Railroad Express (AREX), Seoul Metropolitan Subway, and airport limousine buses. Deluxe Taxi

Taxi is convenient for you to reach your destination. Taxi base fares are different from regular taxi (KRW3,800) or deluxe taxi (KRW6,500, as of Aug 2022). Additional surcharge of 20% applies during late-night (00:00-04:00) and when traveling out of the city. A passenger may call for a taxi whenever needed, hence the term call taxi. Transportation Card, T-Money

If you plan to travel to Seoul, Incheon or any metropolitan cities in Korea, T-money can be useful to take subway, bus, or taxi, just touching it for boarding. You can get the T-money card from a ticket vending inside subway stations or convenience stores. Travelers can reload and refund the card from the vending machine. Don’t forget that you must tap your card when boarding and getting off buses or entering and exiting subway stations.
